Often in makeup advertisements now, you see small side notes saying, “model is wearing false lashes”. Although this is helping to not mislead an audience, most people will not see the fine print. If an image is going to be heavily manipulated to a point where there are major changes, I feel as though the publisher should clearly state what things have been changed. This does not take away from the talent of the photographer/editor, and it does not distract from the purpose of the product. This simple change helps to not mislead people to an unrealistic outcome. An audience will show more support and stay loyal to a company they can trust.
